More than a dozen students will receive the UO Entrepreneurship Awards at an annual luncheon June 10 in the Erb Memorial Union ballroom.
The awards, sponsored by the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship, celebrate UO student entrepreneurs and the faculty members, alumni and community members who helped them along the way.
Students will be recognized for their entrepreneurial projects and businesses, including the Provost’s Innovation Challenge winners announced in April. The free event, which runs from noon to 2 p.m., also includes a student startup trade show where guests can learn about the entrepreneurial ventures being developed across campus.
“Entrepreneurship exists across our campus and community,” said Nathan Lillegard, interim director of Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship. “University of Oregon entrepreneurs include students starting and running companies while balancing classes, faculty inspiring through teaching and practicing, and our community members who support programs with mentorship and guidance.”
Among the honors are Startup of the Year Award, Founder of the Year Award, Sustainable Startup of the Year Award, Lundquist College of Business Outstanding Entrepreneurship Concentration Student Award, Community Mentor Award and Innovative Class Award.
Other awards include the Paul Anthony Troiano RAINmaker Award, Innovative Club Award, Social Impact Award, Best eCommerce Award, Best Technology Award, Best Consumer Product Award, Entrepreneurial Mentorship Award, Campus Innovator of the Year Award, Freelancer of the Year Award, Faculty Innovator Award and InventOR Award finalists.
