The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will host a Breakfast4Success, “3 Leaders, 30 Thoughts,” from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Rookery at Berks Nature, 575 St. Bernadine St. Ira Tauber, TRIOSE president; Justin Spannuth, VP & COO of Unique Snacks; and Michael Lannutti, senior director of human resources at EnerSys will each share 10 thoughts on leading in positive ways through creating the right culture, giving people their purpose and encouraging development through employee pathways. In addition, several long-standing GRCA members will be honored with Shining Star awards. Registration is required for this event: greaterreading.org  Cost: $30 for members. Berks LaunchBox presents the second of a two-part workshop, “Business Accounting Basics,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Do you need a crash course in business accounting to understand the finances of your startup? Taught by June Clougher, MBA, the class will review the basics of accounting every business owner should know. This is the second of a two-part class. The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host its “Economic Development Luncheon,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve, 100 Golf Club Dr., Phoenixville. Keynote speaker is Shellie Whitfield, executive director of the Wetumpka Area Chamber of Commerce, featured on HGTV’s Home Town Takeover. In addition, Berks County Commissioner Christian Leinbach will give an overview of the Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority, and the chamber will present several economic development awards. Berks LaunchBox presents a webinar, “Step-by-Step Process for Creating a Killer Pitch Deck,” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Whether you’re preparing to present to potential investors, apply for funding, or simply looking to introduce your business to potential advisors, having a polished pitch deck is essential. In this webinar, learn the basics of a pitch presentation. You will have the opportunity to practice and polish your pitch with LaunchBox staff in the weeks after class. A few startups will get to pitch to the LaunchBox Advisory Council for additional feedback, exposure, networking, and a chance at $250 in prize money.
