This project supports the ongoing activities of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policy Working Groups. These groups provide a forum for the development and presentation of economic research on entrepreneurship and innovation policy, and strengthen collaborative activities with other NBER research groups in order to draw new researchers into these fields. The activities of these working groups include regular annual meetings which bring together leading researchers in these fields, occasional conferences organized around specific areas resulting in several edited volumes and special issues of refereed journals, and an annual entrepreneurship research boot camp for doctoral students.
Josh Lerner is the Jacob H. Schiff Professor of Investment Banking at the Harvard Business School. His research focuses on venture capital, private equity, and the determinants of innovation and productivity growth. He has been an NBER affiliate since 1999.
In addition to working papers, the NBER disseminates affiliates’ latest findings through a range of free periodicals — the NBER Reporter, the NBER Digest, the Bulletin on Retirement and Disability, the Bulletin on Health, and the Bulletin on Entrepreneurship — as well as online conference reports, video lectures, and interviews.
